I've noticed something in the past few days at work. I'll back up and explain. There are two women who have resigned in the past year to stay home and raise their kids. One of these ladies is a very good friend of mine. Anyway, coincidentally we were having a baby shower the other day for ANOTHER two girls who are each having a baby. So the ladies who have resigned, ( I hope I'm not confusing anyone) came to be a part of the baby shower festivities. I just have to say, they looked great! All tan and full of life and vitality. They know what fresh air is all about instead of recycled office oxygen. I wasn't the only one that noticed this either. Someone else read my mind and stated the obvious. It just shows you how doing what makes you happy affects you. The rest of us have been stressed all summer with our huge deadline of Sept. 1. No sleep, no sun or fresh air, and no hope can make a person look kinda ragged. I've never gone a sumer without getting some sort of tan. And by the time I get out of work I'm so tired that I want to go home and forego my trip to the tanning bed. The tanning bed doesn't really qualify as a "real tan". You have to get it by being outside, playing in the water, riding the boat, going for walks, etc. This is what really shocked me. My pale as ever husband has one arm that is tanner than my own. I always joke and call him whitey white boy. He informed me he only had the color that he did from riding around with his window down and his arm out the window. That's pretty funny. I should draw a cartoon illustrating him and his one arm of tanness.
Anyway, I'll quit complaining. Someday I will find something that I can do from home and be happy and self sufficient. Someday I'll have that healthy, happy glow. Speaking of that, please support my friend in her Ebay efforts so she can continue to stay home and be the loving, supportive, crazy creative mom that she is to her two beautiful girls.

She is so giving and kind hearted that she currently has listed a bunch of items for a local family that could use some financial support. Bookmark her and check out her stuff frequently. She has some really unique things from time to time. I know she and her girls would appreciate it.
