Does this kitty look Siamese to you?
I did this layout for Far & Away, this month's sponsor at STM. Click here to see the entire gallery.
Let me introduce you to "Hugs", the 13 year-old grouchy kitty I inherited when I married my husband. Let me just say that "Hugs" isn't the perfect name for her. More like "Miss Priss", or "Sassy", or "Queen Sheba". She's different than any kitty I've ever had. I grew up with kittens and played all day with them. I dressed them up, put them in a stroller, etc. Hugs will let you pick her up ONLY if she wants you to. Which isn't very often. She's growly and really doesn't like it when Kona (my younger kitty) wants to play. But since she's old and Chuck loves her so, I've learned to live with her.
He almost lost her right before she came to live with me. Hugs was staying with his sister at this point in time and she wanted to get rid of her cats because of the new baby. Her husband had planned to take them to the shelter the next morning. Chuck asked if they could leave Hugs behind so he could find her a new home. (This was still 3 months before we got married and he moved in)
Chuck said he woke up the next morning and Hugs was nowhere to be found. He said his heart sunk and he felt a tear come to his eye. At that second Hugs made her grand entrance. When he told me this story I could see how much he loved her and she just had to come live with me.
He doesn't get mushy or sensitive very often but this story just proves he's still got it in him.
