This post is so stereotypical "redneck hick" it's just crazy. Give me a little room to explain myself. You can judge me for the hick I am but just realize I have many other interests that DON'T include NASCAR, Marlboro cigarettes, trailer-living, and old bathtubs as lawn ornaments.
That being said I have to tell you about the song I've been listening to lately. Brooks and Dunn, "Hillbilly Deluxe". It totally reminded me of these pictures I took of my brother the other night. I HAVE to do a layout with this title! Let me post a picture and part of the song lyrics to better explain myself.

Here's the lyrics I'm talking about:
"Hillbilly deluxe, slick pick-'em-up trucks.
Big timin' in a small town.
Stirrin' it up right about sundown.
Black denim an' chrome to the bone with a little home grown.
Country girl cuddled up...
Hillbilly deluxe.
Goes perfect with this picture doesn't it? That truck was Matt's pride and joy back in the day. He still loves it but has realized there are more important things. But back when he first turned 16 he couldn't wait to "jack" this thing up. I can't remember the size lift he has on it but it's high! I have to put one leg up, grab for the handle and then pulllllllllll to get in! It sounds really good too. I can always tell he's outside just by how loud it is. That's the duel exhaust. Impressed 'cause I know these things? You better be.
One more little story about this truck before I go. I know, I know, you're SO thrilled!
After my first year of college studying graphic design Matt asked if I'd design a decal for his back window. Of course I agreed. He asked me to simply lay out the words "Four Play" in a scripty, rugged font. He was smiling proudly as he looked at me. "Get it? You know, as in 4 wheel drive AND . . . ."
Of course he didn't have to explain the rest to me. I couldn't believe he wanted to drive around town with this for all to see. (He has since admitted it was "kinda a dumb idea")
So that's the story of Matt's "pick'em up truck". It mainly sits in the garage these days. His work truck gets way more action.
I still have good memories of him driving me around in it though. He'd always rev his motor, I love that sound! But, the best day would have to be when he picked me up for church in that truck. We were supposed to meet mom there and here he was in my driveway ready to go. And of course, he didn't park with the decal facing AWAY from the entrance. It was there for all to see. Such a rebel!
Okay, now I really want to scrap these pictures. I have the perfect journaling as stated above.
