Just love that quote . . . even if she didn't really say it!
I watched "Marie Antoinette" for the first time the other night. I knew it'd definitely be one Chuck wouldn't want to see so I watched it before he came home. I didn't get a chance to see this movie before mom and I visited the Palace of Versailles on our Europe trip in October. I did try to brush up on my history by listening to "Marie Antoinette: The Last Queen of France" by Evelyne Lever before I left though.
I don't know what kind of review to give this flick. I was interested because I had visited this place not very long ago. The film had breathtaking "eye candy" though and that was probably my favorite. Rich colors, beautiful fabrics, patterns, and delicious looking pastries. Great inspiration if you're looking for some!
Here are a couple photos I took while visiting Versailles:
Here's a link to my flickr album for more Versailles pictures: Versailles
And if you're looking for more info about the movie check out the Sony Pictures website Marie Antoinette
It's great! They have video clips, a photo gallery, and you can even download a Marie Antoinette sticker sheet. I know you've always wanted one of those!
