Pretty random post for today. I'm still packing and getting ready to leave town for 3 weeks. I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to take my nice camera or just take the point and shoot. Since I'm going for work I really won't have any time to go sightseeing etc. I keep thinking that if something happens to my good camera I'll be upset and it'll ruin the trip. But . . . I also think that "When am I going to ever go back to China?". I need to take some sweet photos while I'm there. Plus, with all the work we'll be doing I need to have something that I can look forward to. You know, a little piece of "normal" from my life back home. hmmm, still deciding on that one.
In other areas, I finally got some scrapbooking done yesterday! It felt so good to just sit down and create. I bought a bunch of the Creative Imaginations product when my LSS went out of business. I was so excited to use what I bought! After getting everything laid out on my page I decided it needed something more. I got out my Stampin' Up watercolor pencils and added some color to the creme and black paper. I know it's not much but I love the effect. I want to use these pencils more! Maybe I'll try and add just a little watercolor goodness to each page I work on now.
I love the photos I took in Venice! The lighting was ideal. I'm assuming it's from the reflection off the water? Well that's my opinion anyway. Mom looks so happy and peaceful in this photo. She's a cutie.
These are photos from the Tuileries in Paris. We were so happy to see people playing frisbee/catch with their dogs. It reminded us of our own dogs back home. I love this photo I snapped of some guy resting with his dog. Love that their backs are to us, both sitting in the same pose, and the ball right between them. I wonder what they're thinking? To me all the scenes and architecture were new and exciting but to someone that lives there what do they think? Is it just another "day at the park"? But anyways, what a great place to to spend some time with your pet!
Well today Chuck and I will probably take Roscoe out and enjoy the great weather. I can't believe how suddenly all the lawns are such a pretty green color! I love springtime.
I need to go out and get a couple other necessities before I leave and most importantly I need to load up my iPod for the 14 hour flight from Chicago to Shanghai! Anyone have any great suggestions? I'm open to about anything. I want to completely re-vamp my selections so I don't get sick of them over the next 3 weeks.
Hope you all have a great Sunday!
